OUR STAFF

N.P. Agency, Inc. operates on a 24-hour basis, including weekends and holidays. Our nurses are always on call to attend to your emergency needs.

EXPECTIONS OF OUR EMPLOYEES

Work schedule and assignments are based on Client needs. All clients must be treated with respect and courtesy. Remember you are an employee of the Agency and may not enter into private contracts with clients. A plan of care will be established for your patient by our Supervising Registered Nurse Karen Ferguson, in cooperation with Physician & Patient or Patients significant other. Please review care plan with Karen, any questions or concerns call us at 212-838-8083. All charting and documentation of patient care must be completed and signed at the end of each shift. Completed reports must be submitted to our office weekly.

You must report all accidents, incidents or Patient complaints to the Agency immediately, also document all incidents in patient notes. Please remember you notes are legal documents.

Please dress in a professional manner: You are expected to be groomed: Hair off the face/ No artificial nails/ Clean White Uniform and clean shoes.

PLEASE NO STRONG FOOD ODORS OR PERFUMES

The Agency and your patient decides your hours of work, you must never change your shift without approval from the agency. If you are assigned to a direct relief 24 hour assignment, you may never leave the patient until you have met and given a full report to your relief in the Patient’s Home.

Never leave a patient unattended without permission from an authorized person.

JOB PLACEMENT

Qualities Expected:

Mature, Caring, Honest, Professional, Patient, Kind, Gentle and Strong. Clear command of the English Language; capable of understanding Medical instructions, giving and receiving reports: both Oral and Written.

1. You must make an appointment for a personal interview with the Agency.

2. Complete and sign I 9 form and present two forms of proof of your legal status -Original documents must be presented for inspection i.e. U.S. birth certificate and Social security card /U.S. Passport/ Alien Card/ NYS current drivers license.

3. Current Nursing License for R.N’s and LPN’sCurrent Certification for NA’s, HHA’s , PCA’s. These will be verified by the Agency.

4. Nurses Aides, Home Health Aides, and Personal Care Aides must consent to a Criminal History Background Check. The Agency is authorized and required by law to request a check of any Criminal History information about its employees that the Division of Criminal Justice Services and the FBI may provide.

5. We require two written recent verifiable work references, please include telephone numbers.

6. A pre employment Physical from a Doctor is required, including the following tests:- a. Mantoux PPD –if positive follow-up Chest X-ray is required. b. Rubella Titre and Rubeola Titre.

7. N.P. Agency Inc. requires all personal to carry a current Certificate of Mal- Practice Insurance.

8. Current CPR Certification & Annual Fire Safety & Infection Control in-service Certificate.

9. N.A.’s, HHA’s, PCA’s are required to attend 12 hours Inservice education annually.
